Dodsley, 1766 London: J. . Small 4to. Later quarter-calf, marbled boards. 139 pages. Third edition. [Halkett and Laing, p. 167.] The third edition, published the same yearas the first, was expanded with additional essays. The satirical essays describe the Blunderhead family's visit to Bath depicting manners and customs of the place--a form of guide book to a popular tourist spot in the eighteenth century. St. George Tucker of Williamsburg owned a copy of the 1767 edition. Nineteenth century owner's signature on title page, else very good. Bookseller Inventory # 30694
