Book Description: J. Dodsley, London, 1784. Book Condition: .Very Good. No Jacket. Twelfth Edition. Frontispiece by S. Wale shows Fashion, accompanied by her monkey, pulling the citizens of Bath along by their noses. Binding is tree calf, bumped at corners, rebacked in lighter tan with gilt lettering. Light off-setting from frontispiece to title page, and occasional light spotting to text. Handsome bookplate to front pastedown. Pastedown pages are gently browning at edges.

Light wear along edges but a handsome copy. From the library of Manley Sims with his bookplate to front pastedown, and oval stamp at head of editor’s preface. Later bookplate neatly affixed along bottom edge of Sims’. Earlier owner’s name on piece of paper affixed to second endpaper. Some browning and occasional light foxing, mainly to first and last leaves.
