Good/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. A satiric poem about the famous spa. Dark brown leather boards have a black leather label on the spine with faded gilt lettering and gilt decorative borders on both covers. All edges marbled. Extremities are moderately worn, corners moreso. Leather covers are cracked and chipped in some places. Front joint is split about three inches starting at the foot of the spine. Head and foot of spine are bumped, head is a bit worn. Original marbled endpp. are a bit faded, with some offset from the leather. Former owner's name and date (November 20, 1937) appear on the back of the front free endp. in black ink. Some light foxing in the text, moreso on engraved frontispiece and plates, not affecting text or clarity. Binding is sound and tight. Nice copy, digital image available.
