The History and Memoirs of the Bath: containing observations on what cures have been there wrought, both by bathing and drinking those waters......../ by Robert Peirce M.D. near 60 years Physician in Bath. London Printed for Henry Hammond, Bookseller in Bath M DCC XIII (1713). 8vo. 17cm. x 10.3 cm. Full calf/gilt. new calf spine, covers a little worn, but generally very sound and in very good order. Text block very clean and bright except for first title which is browned on both sides. High Victorian Gothic bookplate of Edward Hailstone? collation : [XXX] - pp 1 - 399. Complete. Second part title reads : Bath Memoirs or observations in three and forty years practice at the Bath/ what cures have been there wrought. etc. etc. The Second Part/ Bristol Printed by and for W. Bonny and H. Hammond, Bookseller at Bath and the Devizes and are to be sold by most booksellers in London and the country  1697. A rare and fascinating book, claiming cures for many diseases achieved by the Royal Baths. NB page 129 has a small piece absent from lower margin - not affecting text.
