Notes
An 18th century mahogany Hepplewhite-style elbow chair, with pierced splat to the open oval back, shallow down-swept arm supports & chamfered square tapering legs. (break & repair to oval back).
Est 50-70. Sold 40.

The deign is unusual. Reminiscent of Hepplewhite's shield backs but inverted. A hint of gothick? Not in Hepplewhite's book.
