Richard Bentley London 1844 VG- pages unmarked, rebound in magenta cloth, binding tight,, Hardcover covers nearly unworn, shelf wear to bottom page edges from old binding, top page edges darkened. No offset, yellowing or show-through; spotting heavy on frontispieces (Volumes 1 & 3 only), light on adjacent title pages & endpapers, occurs elsewhere only on & near page edges. No frontispieces in Volumes 2 & 4, no evidence of removal; patterns of spotting suggest they were never there. Former owner's stamps on front endpapers. Bookseller Inventory # 017108
