Title repeated in French. Plate number 5 in right margin top and bottom. Laid paper.
From the series of Eight Views in the University after John Donowell. These were all engraved by William Woollett but his name doesn't appear on the plates. They were first published in 1755 by John Tinney. They were reprinted soon afterwards with altered imprints. Louis Fagan, in his catalogue raisonne of Woollett, records two states, this one being the second. The BM has no copy with this imprint but has one with John Ryall's name in place of Carington Bowles's.
