"Sketches of Churches", privately published by H E Relton in 1843, based on sketches drawn on the spot on zinc by Relton with short descriptions which presumably he wrote himself. Maroon binding somewhat faded bumped and rubbed but in good tight condition, the interior is very clean and essentially free of foxing.Views of numerous churches in the shires before the Victorian restorers got at them. The places covered include,

Berkshire: Childrey, Harwell, East Hendred, Sparsholt, Uffington, Wantage

Gloucestershire: Beckford, Beverstone, Boxwell, Coates, Horton, Kemerton, Minchinhampton, Ozleworth, Shipton Moyne, Stone, Tortworth

Oxfordshire: Checkendon, Crowmarsh Gifford, Swyncombe

Wiltshire: Crudwell, Kemble

Worcestershire: Bredon, Long Newnton, Overbury

Engraved frontispiece and title page. The list of subscribers runs to only 73 so this must be very rare, I have found no other copies on offer at present.
