Offered here is a souvenir album of 24 engraved vignette views showing scenes in and around Aberystwith. All the plates have wide margins and paper guards so all are free from the offsetting that often affects these works
It's in the original decorative boards which have decorative borders and a gilt title. No text or title page was issued and the book is complete
Eleven of the plates show Aberystwith, there are two of Barmouth, one of Towyn, the remaining ones show monuments, castles, rural scenes etc
Some views are dated 1869 so the work was issued circa 1870. |
