(Somerset) The Original Bath Guide - 'considerably ... ...enlarged and improved; comprehending every species of information that can be required by the visiter and inhabitant, particularly an essay on the efficacy of the Bath Waters in various disorders, digested purposely for this work by an eminent physician; a description of modern Bath; interspersed with many interesting circumstances; a new table of distances recently measured for the Regulation of Chairmen's Fares, with the prices affixed; &c &c.'. Hardback published 1811. Two folding maps/plans of Bath and District. Please bid on this book for content not condition as it is well worn. The covers are detached and the covers have have brown paper stuck on where a reair has been attempted at some time. Likewise, there is repair with paper stuck down on the front endpapers. There is plent of foxing, browning and general wear. General Notes: All of my items are second hand so are likely to have slight wear. With books, there may be some foxing or browning and dustjackets, where present, may have small chips and tears. Small inscriptions and owners details may be present and there may be a bookplate. With sheet music, there may be creases, small tears and chips and owners or sellers details. I will point out anything more more serious. Overseas buyers: I am happy to post outside the UK but I reluctant to post surface mail so please confirm the cost of airmail with me before bidding.
