One of a pair of very rare early photographs of the Halcyon Club, one of Oxford University's notorious secret drinking societies. Fifteen members have posed for the photograph in the Back Quad of Queen's College.

In its original mount with gilt edged window, hand drawn and coloured crest of Queen's College and names of the members in ink: T. H. Belcher, J. G. Werseman, J. A. Alexander, T. King, T. M. Todd, E. L. Woods, H. J. Bodington, H. E. Brown, P. E. Harrison, W. Wilcockson, T. Till, and C. B. L. Tylecote.
