This most excellent Horse was never beat, being so eminent for his Running, is the property of the Right Hon.ble the Marquis of Rockingham, was not only remarkable for his GreatSpeed but also his Deep Rate, which made him so much supe- | rior to all those he ever Run against, beating the with the greatest ease & is thought by many Judges to be the best Horse since Childers. Bay Malton was got by Sampson, his Dam by Old Cade, his Grand Dam by Old Traveller, his Great Grand Dam | by a sone of Greyhound, own brother to ye Dam of Vane’s little Partner, his Great Gr.1 Grand Dam by Old Partner, his Great Great Great Grand Dam by Woodcock, his Great Great Great Great Grand Dam by Crofts Bay Barb. Bay Malton at four Years Old wona Sweepstakes | atMalton of 100 Guineas, a Sweepstake at Newmarket in April; 1765, of 1000 Guineas & 400 Guineas bye; also received a Forfeit at the same price, & on the 1.t of Octo.r in ye same Year, beat the famous Grey Horse Gimcrack at Newmarket for 1000 Guineas, at the | same place in april 1767 he won a Sweepstakes of 500 Guineas each, beating King Herod, Turf & Askam; In April 1768 he beat Lord Grosvenor’s Cardinal Puff for the Whip, & in May following beat S.r James Lowther’s Askam for the Jockey Club Plate, also at New | market, which was the last time he Started or perhaps ever will, being designed for a Stallion.
