Rare. Not in the NPG. The BM has a version from John Johnston's 'Inscriptiones historicae regum Scotorum' (Amsterdam, 1602) with letterpress below.
Annotated in ink: Ja. Clark Sculp 1681. This is an old but erroneous attribution. It probably refers to a late 17th century composite engraving by James Clark that incudes a reduced copy of this portrait along with eight heads of other Scottish Royals. |
