A contemporary copy of the painting entitled "Enthusiam Displayed in the character of a Methodist preacher and his congregation in Moorfields". A figure preaching to a group beneath a tree, waving a cloth in the air, at the foot of his lecturn two kneeling women conspire over his removed shoes, an apple cart at left with the seller in an embrace, chimney sweep beside and a figure flying a kite behind, rows of houses in the background, and an inn at right. The setting is Moorfields and St. Luke's Lunatick Asylum, Old Street, is shown in the background.
