| Signed G. 1928. A remarkably accurate copy of the watercolour of c.1834 by George Chinnery, held in the V&A. The painting was reproduced on page 27 of the October 1927 edition of "Creative Art, a Magazine for Fine and Applied Art". As the artist signed this work "G. 1928" it seems likely that it was copied from the image in the magazine. |
