| The north transept circa 1869, during the installation of Sir George Gilbert Scott's box pews. The floor, with its wealth of carved memorial stones, remained hidden from view until the pews were removed in 2018. The organ of 1836, by John Smith of Bristol, has just been modified with a new gallery, and would remain until its replacement in 1894. |
