Plagiarised from James McArdell's 1749 mezzotint of Alan Ramsay's portrait of Lady Boyd as Diana. But the face is clearly of a different, unidentified woman. The first state of two, with artist given as F. Stevens. Described by John Chaloner Smith in 1883 as "one known". Not in the BM or NPG, so possibly unique. According to JCS, a second state exists where the artist's name has been correctly altered to A. Ramsay.
