A very finely executed, and near contemporary, reversed copy of Pillement's drawing of Spring, from his four seasons set. Pillement's drawing was engraved in reverse by James Mason and published as part of a set of four by Charles Leviez in 1759. Levier was then the owner of the original drawings but they're now in the Louvre.
