Wiltshire County Maps
17 18 : Seller, John 1694

John Seller published an atlas of small county maps in his 1694. They were simple maps, based upon Speed, by an unknown engraver. The maps were subsequently included Seller's History of England (2 editions) and Camden's Britannia Abridged (2 editions)

Sixty years after they were first published Francis Grose published modified versions of the maps in his Antiquities of England and Wales. The wreath cartouche of the Wiltshire map was replaced by a simple panel and the panel containing the scale removed. The map is printed at the topof a page with text below it and on the reverse.
