Wiltshire County Maps
19 20 : Morden, Robert 1701

It's possible that Morden's smaller maps were intended for use in Britannia but were rejected due to their small size. They are less accurate than the larger maps. Their first appearance was in Morden's New Description of the State of England 1701, 2nd edition 1704. The engraver of Wiltshire was R Spofforth.

In the second state a compass was added and many roads added with double lines. Its first appearance was in 1708. In 1716 it was used in Magna Britannia, with subsequent editions in 1720 and 1738.

Examples can be found in the following English County Atlases.
